In a ceremony yesterday at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, members of the Combat Arms Team presented Rear Adm. Sandra Stosz, superintendent of the USCGA, with the trophy the squad won during competition at the Scholastic Steel Challenge 2011 Fall Collegiate Championship.

SCSA Announces Dates of 2012 Steel Challenge

BURLINGTON, Wash. — The Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA), the national governing body for the sport of speed shooting, has announced the official dates of next year’s Steel Challenge. The 2012 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships will take place November 1-4 at the Universal Shooting Academy in Frostproof, Florida.

U.S. Coast Guard Academy Picks Up Second Consecutive SSC Collegiate Championship

EPPING, N.H. – The U.S. Coast Guard Academy claimed their second Scholastic Steel Challenge (SSC) title in a row by winning the Scholastic Steel Challenge Collegiate Fall Championship hosted by Sig Sauer and held November 12 at the Sig Sauer Academy in Epping, N.H.

Monday Movie: Diana Le Takes On Her First Steel Challenge

Diana Le takes on the Steel Challenge for the first time at the Harvard Sportsmen's Club which held it's first SCSA sanctioned match this past Saturday. Diana, along with her brother Charles Le, were among the 108 shooters that braved the cold to compete.

Springfield Armory, Cheaper Than Dirt! and Vang Comp Systems Sponsor 2011 Steel Challenge

SEDRO-WOOLLEY – Officials with the Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) announced that Springfield Armory, Cheaper Than Dirt! and Vang Comp Systems will be gold level sponsors of the 2011 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships which will take place August 18-21 in Piru, Calif.

Organized by the Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA), the national governing body for the sport of speed shooting, the Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships celebrates its 30th anniversary and it's final year in Golden State as the match moves to Florida in 2012.

Steel Challenge Adds Sig Sauer As Platinum Sponsor

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. – New Hampshire based firearms maker Sig Sauer, a prominent name in law enforcement and military small arms, as well as recreational and sporting guns, has once again signed on as a platinum sponsor of the 2011 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships.

Sig Sauer joins previously announced platinum sponsors the National Shooting Sports Foundation, Smith & Wesson and Safariland. The company will be represented in competition by Max Michel, captain of the Sig Sauer shooting team, who is a three-time champion and hopes to be the first competitor in Steel Challenge history to log a fourth overall title win.
